About Academics and Research

Since, August 2023 the Department of Academics plays major role in conducting various educational activities in Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH & RC), New Chandigarh, Punjab. The HBCH & RC, New Chandigarh, Punjab is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed to be University under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India). At present, the department develops policies, plans and executes academic activities for Senior Resident, One Year Fellowships, observerships and training programmes.

Departmental Activities:

1. Institutional Academic Meets are regularly conducted on every Friday, which helps all the medical professionals in the institute to be updated in their respective fields.
2. Several training programs are organized for small areas within a specialty and also encourages practicising medical and scientific professionals for continuing education through short term observer-ship and several CMEs & Guest lectures.
3. Recruitment & establishment of Senior Residents and One Year Fellowship courses (Recognised by TMC and HBCH & RC, Punjab).
4. Internships in collaboration with various universities and institutes are also running in the various specialties.
5. Academics Re-designation of Faculties.
